Employee Onboarding FAQ's
FIT new employee onboarding is a requested process that works to ensure that a new employee’s computer, software, and application access needs are fulfilled. This request supplements (but does not replace) the typical human resources mandated onboarding procedures. Managers and supervisors will still need to coordinate with their HR representative and/or business operations coordinator to make sure all other university and department new hire prerequisites are met.
This process needs to be initiated by the new hire’s supervisor or their department’s business operations coordinator.
Click the FIT Onboarding link and use the "Request this service" button to submit a request. This will create a RITM (request item) ticket that generates a workflow that both FIT and the requestor can follow and update until FIT onboarding completion.
Requests should be made as soon as possible. To ensure the best service experience, we encourage departments to submit the request during or immediately following the hire process. Letting FIT know of hiring plans early allows the time for a computer to be acquired that will best match the needs of the new employee.
Access to Online Systems and Applications will be handled by the new employee’s department. The responsible person/people in the department should request access to Online Systems and Applications.
